Hi there, thank you for visiting. I'm Sandy and I create One-of-a-kind jewelry designs from thrift shop finds, estate sales and more.
Relaxing and creating beautiful earrings*, necklaces, bookmarks and framed jewelry art out of previously loved treasures is one of my passions.
As a former corporate executive, I’ve transitioned my work into a creative blend of business and pleasure. I have found the things that make me most happy utilize my creative side. I can visualize new purposes for many things, able to think in the abstract. A few years back, I had a redesign and staging business. I would stage homes for sale by decluttering and brightening up the space. This almost always brought a higher sale price as well as many offers. As for my redesign aspect, I would “shop” my client’s homes to recreate an atmosphere they would once again love and enjoy, using their own furnishings and accessories. The transformation usually took a few hours depending on the size of the space or spaces, and the reward was amazing. In essence, what was old was new again.
This brings me to the present day where I’ve continued to have an interest in repurposing treasures. Much of the process of “treasure hunting” is what sparks my creativity. I look for items that can be made into many new items. The adage, one person’s junk is another person’s treasure is true to my heart. Keeping castaways out of landfills and into the hands of someone who will again love something for years to come brings me joy. I believe my designs bring an outdated item to current day styles. No two pieces are alike due to the nature of the find. Occasionally there are times where I need to augment a design with one or two new elements, but that’s the beauty of these individual pieces. I hope you enjoy my work.
